Anamnesis

Anamnesis: The act of remembering in the sense of ritualized remembrance.

<sub>I'm really happy with this one, it actually turned out pretty much exactly how I imagined it in my head. I can't pick out a certain part that I'm most pleased with, but I think in general I'm very happy with the atmosphere I have created and I think the colour scheme worked out well.

Time:
I spent quite a few hours on this one over the course of 3 days. There were a lot of layers, and I mean A LOT. The sky alone was 8 layers!!

Concept:
As always I like my viewers to take what they like from my art, because I find art means so much more when you can relate to it in some way, or see something in it, it makes it personal, and immortal.

But I have a fixed concept that I take from it (thanks to a friend of mine), so I thought I'd share it
"To remember one who has been all but forgotten."
She visits the resting place of a person who was shunned, perhaps even hated by society. His/her grave is in an isolated locatation, tomb stone is cracked (representing a tarnished name). Even the crows are taunting the girl for remembering this person, it would appear god himself was angry -lightning crashes down fro mthe heavens. But she will not forget, nor let go.

But just because that is what I had in mind, does not mean what you see is incorrect!</sub>
